THINGS TO KNOW:

TOW TRUCK DRIVERS AND STORAGE LOTS
Tow truck drivers DO NOT have to take YOUR car where they tell you to. Its your car and you have the right to choose. Talk to the tow truck driver or police officer and let them know where you want it taken.
You might have to pay for the tow fee upfront (unless you bring it to i.C.A.R.) but that beats having to pay daily storage fees + administrative fees.

INSURANCE COMPANY
Call the insurance and turn in a claim if one has not been turned in yet. Remember to get the Claim #, Adjuster's Name and Phone Number.

DO NOT SIGN ANY RELEASE FORM unless you read it carefully and agree to the terms.

You DO NOT have to take YOUR vehicle to their preferred body shops. Insurance companies most of the time will ask you to take your vehicle to one of their preferred shops because they have agreements with them to fix your vehicle at lower prices. This is a benefit to the insurance company and not to you. Most legitimate body shops will offer limited or lifetime warranty on the repairs done to your vehicle, simply ask the shop.

If your injured contact an attorney.

"Patience is a virtue"
Accident Claims take time! Insurance companies need to speak to all parties involved before accepting fault for the accident (this process is unknown due to the availability of all parties involved). An adjuster will have to inspect your vehicle before repairs can be made (this usually takes 48-72 hours after reporting the claim). Once the repairs are approved the body shop will order parts and start the repair process.

NEED A CAR RENTAL?

Contact your insurance agent to determine if a rental car is available under your policy. If you are not making a claim on your policy, a rental car should be provided by the at fault party.
